PATTERN ONLY - Against the Grain Shawl - A PDF Crochet Shawl Pattern - Sweet Pea & Sparrow

Against the Grain is an intermediate shawl pattern using a variety of stitches to create ridges, cables and bead stitches.

Knowledge of front and back post crochet will help you understand the techniques in this pattern with ease.

This is a one size fits all shawl, however the pattern, once you get the hang of it, is easily altered if you wanted to create a larger or smaller version.

Materials needed:

• 880 yards of worsted weight yarn. I used almost exactly 4 skeins of Yarn Bee Rustic Romantic for this shawl in the colorway Okie Wheat. If I were to make this again I would purchase 5 skeins just to be safe to account for variables in tension between makers.
• 5.5mm crochet hook
• Darning needle to weave in your ends
• Scissors
• Your favorite cup of tea, coffee or cocktail!
