Stellar - A Crochet Quilt PDF Pattern - Sweet Pea & Sparrow

MATERIALS
 4.5mm crochet hook
 Worsted weight yarn - See notes on yardage and colors used
 Darning needle, scissors

GAUGE
To work gauge, complete a diamond worked in the suggested hook size and compare to the measurements below. 
The overall measurements of each piece:
Each individual diamond measures 5” from longest point to point and 3.25” from shortest point to point.
Each star in total measures 10.25” at the widest point to point.
Each hexagon measures 3.25” per edge.
Finished blanket measures 54” wide x 70” in length from tip to tip.

DIFFICULTY
This pattern is best suited for an Ambitious Beginner. Knowledge of working in the round, joining the diamonds and hexagons either as you go or sewing them together at the end is required.  Photo tutorials are provided for each portion of the instruction and a video tutorial can be found here for the diamond shape, and here for the hexagons.

The diamonds and hexagons are intended to be joined as you go to reduce the amount of ends that need to be tucked in as well as keeping the tension even.  If you feel more comfortable joining the components after they have been completed, that is absolutely an option.  Please note it will change the yardage needed to complete.
